Games Workshop produces little mini-figures that you can buy, put together, and paint yourself. These little figures are really cool when done up and painted by someone who knows how to handle a brush. Today, we’re pleased to bring you their wave of figures for the second of The Hobbit Trilogy. These figures range in price from $20 for a single figure to $65 for a set of the Dwarves in their barrels. This wave contains 11 new figures which can be pre-ordered by visiting the Games Workshop website.
Dean O’Gorman and Aidan Turner will be answering questions from fans about The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug later today (Sunday, December 1st) from 1:15pm PST / 4:15pm EST / 9:15pm GMT. (Sounds a bit like a Reddit Ask Me Anything session, except on Facebook.)
We’re halfway there! Last weekend we watched The Two Towers Extended Edition. This Sunday (December 1) from Midday ET (that’s New York time), we’ll be continuing our LOTR and Hobbit marathon fun in the Barliman’s chat as we haul out our copies of The Return of the King Extended Edition and all press “play” at the same time.
Mark it in your calendar and come join us for an entirely geeky viewing of The Return of the King where you can share thoughts and observations with fellow fans!
