Howard Shore’s classic score for The Lord Of The Rings film trilogy is being released on September 13th on Howe Records. Titled The Lord Of The Rings Symphony: Six Movements for Orchestra & Chorus, the double-album is a live recording of a concert in Lucerne Switzerland in February of this year. Bavarian Radio will first broadcast the album in its entirety on September 4, 2011. More..
Author George R. R. Martin has urged fans to look out for two scripts from hit TV show Game Of Thrones which were stolen before a planned charity auction.
The writer, who penned the fantasy novel series A Song of Ice and Fire, which the hit HBO series is based on, planned to put scripts from two episodes of the show under the hammer at the sci-fi WorldCon event later this week.
But after he had the screenplays sent over for him to sign, he discovered both manuscripts had been stolen. [3 News] [Time]

“We are currently looking for slim men 17-30 years and between 165cm – 178 cm or 5’5” -5’8” AND slim women 17-30 years between 165cm – 173cm or 5’5” to 5’8” to play ELF extras,”
It’s now been changed and is asking for:
“We are currently looking for MEN based in the Wellington region aged 30 plus, medium – large build, 5’8″ – 6 foot (175cm – 183cm) Character faces, beards, missing teeth – all good”
