For all the completionists out there, fill out your Middle-earth collection with the other versions of Peter Jackson’s movies.
A final reminder that Peter Jackson has said on occasion that he wants to do a 25th anniversary “Unicorn Edition” with all the extra stuff that we haven’t seen yet – Frodo turning into Gollum, Faramir & Eowyn’s wedding, and a warts-n-all BTS documentary that goes even deeper into the drama of making these films. No announcements have been made that this is even in the works, but PJ is a billionaire now, so anything is possible!
As we draw nearer to the end of our closer look at all twenty of the recently announced (or confirmed) castings from Amazon, staffer greendragon brings us up to speed with the incredibly impressive career of Scottish actor and film maker Peter Mullan.
This was one of the surprise pieces at Comic-Con last year and I will say it was one heck of a surprise. A brand new Boromir statue capturing his last moments in battle trying to save Merry and Pippin is quite a powerful piece. I think many will agree this is Boromir’s most heroic moment. Not only does this piece have power and beauty, it is simply fantastic in terms of paint as well as detail. Both pieces come with a price tag of $299 and an edition size of 1000 pieces. Continue reading “Collecting The Precious – Weta Workshop’s Boromir at Amon Hen Statue Review”
He made his debut at Comic-Con last year and after a decade wait to get him into our collections Faramir has arrived. This amazing statue is a spitting image of what we saw on screen during The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Faramir is one of my favorite The Lord of the Rings pieces and you can get him right now for $249 as he is in-stock with an edition size of just 1000 pieces world-wide.
