thdos-trailer01-052 This evening saw the release of the latest TV Spot for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug! Tonight we get a spot focused primarily on the Elven warrior Tauriel, though we also get a couple new shots of our main characters as well (keep an eye out especially for the shot right at the end!).

Having a character devoted TV Spot reminds me of the original ads for The Fellowship of the Ring (there were ones focused on Frodo, Gandalf, Aragorn & Arwen). I very much hope that we see this trend continue in the coming weeks. Continue reading “The Desolation of Smaug TV Spot #8 is here!”

Warner Bros. Pictures Canada, Pattison Outdoor Advertising, Canada’s leader in Out-of-Home advertising and the TTC, announced  the roll-out of a fully wrapped TTC Toronto Rocket super train promoting the highly anticipated release of “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug”.

To the delight of super fans, the specialty installation on six-car super train began its journey on Monday and will run exclusively on the Yonge-University-Spadina line until December 13th– the opening day of the movie in theatres.

Hobbit Fans and TTC riders are encouraged to tweet pictures of the wrapped super train to the Warner Bros. Canada twitter page (@WBPicturesCan) with the hash tag #HOBBIT TTC for the chance to win tickets to the exclusive Toronto Premiere of the film.
