Linuxelf continues to load up the YouTube library of yesteryear. Heading up today’s entries is fun New Zealand television coverage from our own “Return of the One Party”. They (channel 3) call it the “Three Ring Party” and later refer to it as New Line’s party, never quite catching on that it was a fan organized gathering. But they did talk to site friend and expert costumer Judy (look for the beard) and reported from our stage while Emerald Rose is playing.

DragonCon, one of the best fantasy and science fiction events in the world, concluded Monday in Atlanta, Georgia and while concluded, it will not be forgotten.
The convention, that gathers fans from the far reaches of the globe, is likely the last one before filming begins on Guillermo del Toro’s “The Hobbit,” and discussion and anticipation for the forthcoming pair of films adapting J.R.R. Tolkien’s book was a definite part of the landscape of the annual convention. (more…)
The mighty MegaCon Comic Convention has added TORn friends Emerald Rose to this month’s convention in Orlando, Florida. The band be returning as the featured musical guests for the three day comic marathon to be held Feb 27 – March 1st at the Orange County Convention Center. The band will be performing Friday night from 8 – 9:30 pm, Saturday from 8 – 9 pm and Sunday afternoon, 1:30 pm – 2:20 pm. In addition, they will be wandering minstrels for the long ticket lines and at small gatherings around the convention. The band’s website features links to YouTube, where numerous clips of their live performances and music videos can be found. Emerald Rose is currently working on rebuilding their studio to allow for video production editing and live band recordings. The group has taken a break from national touring to focus on new music and storyboarding an upcoming DVD project about the band’s fifteen year career.
