One of the companies out there that has some really neat items from various movie franchises is Funko. They’ve touched upon Middle-earth before, with some items from The Hobbit Trilogy as well as a Sauron Funko Pop from The Lord of the Rings. Well last week Funko announced they’re going back to Middle-earth, with even more items from The Lord of the Rings. This time we’re getting the likes of Frodo, a chase variant Frodo, Gandalf, Saruman, Nazgul, Samwise, and my personal favorite The Balrog (this will be a 6″ super pop). These are going to be a blast to collect and will look awesome on the shelf. Fans can pre-order these from various places now, and they’re due out in June of this year. If you want to check out the full release you can go to the Funko Blog.

Our friends at Weta Workshop have two new items that you just may want to add to your collections. The first is from one of my favorite lines, allowing collectors with limited space a chance to add some of their amazing items. Their mini-statue line is absolutely fantastic, and the next character joining the ranks is Gimli. Fans can add to their collections Gimli after the long battle of Helm’s Deep, letting Legolas know that he killed 43 Uruk-hai. Gimli is currently in-stock and can be yours for $125 (USD). shire-post-mint-leavesIt may be a little late for Christmas shopping, but there are many holidays and celebrations at this time of year (and if you’ve been wondering about holiday gift ideas, we hope you’ve checked out our Holiday Gift Guide); and of course it’s never too late to treat yourself! So we thought our readers would like to know about the beautiful Elvish Four Leaf Set recently released by our friends at Shire Post Mint.

The four coins are shaped like holly leaves, and are in different metals to represent the four seasons. Shire Post Mint say, ‘Also known as Eregion (meaning Land of the Holly in Sindarin), Hollin was an Elven Realm of the Noldorin Elves during the Second Age. It was located near the West Gate of Moria, or Khazad-dûm. These coins were made by the Noldorin Elves while under the rule of Celebrimbor, the great Elven-smith and forger of the Rings of Power. Hollin was later destroyed during the War of the Elves and Sauron.’

You can read more about this stunning set here, and can see full details and place an order here. Coins have been considered lucky New Year presents in many cultures – perhaps start 2017 with a talisman for the good fortune you hope to see throughout the year?

14756336341ca934fe51f1d07fb239361f5cd8cfe8Previewed during Comic-Con 2016 at the Weta Cave, our friends at Weta Workshop are proud to announce their newest statue for The Hobbit Trilogy line of statues. Joining the collections of many collectors world-wide is none other than The Witch-King as we saw him at Dol Guldur during The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. This fantastic statue is a super dynamic pose of The Witch-King looking to take out a member of The White Council. Collectors, you can add this to your collection for $349 and I would do so quickly as the edition size of this one comes in at only 750 pieces. The expected delivery of this one is scheduled for December of this year.

IMG_7812Tonight we have several new items from our friends at Weta Workshop. The first of these new items was my personal favorite at this years San Diego Comic-Con.

The beautiful Lady Galadriel at Dol Guldur is without a doubt the best version of this character we’ve had a chance to add to any of our collections. This stunning piece comes in with an edition size of only 750 pieces world wide and can be purchased for $275. You can expect to have her in March of 2017.

The next two items continue the growing resurgence of the helm line. Fans can now add the helm of Dain Ironfoot as well as The Witch King as we see him at Dol Guldur during The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Both the helms come in with a price tag of $79 and edition sizes of 750 pieces. If you manage to order all three helms that have been released so far by September 30th, 2016 by midnight (NZT) you can be in the running to get the #1/500 Uruk-Hai helm.
