In this maquette Boromir will be captured during a sequence from the extended edition of The Two Towers where he plants a flag while giving a speech when Osgiliath is recovered.
This piece has an amazing likeness to Sean Bean and yet another must have piece in this growing maquette collection. The exclusive to the Boromir maquette will be an additional switch out right arm allowing you to have variable display options. The Dominion Post reports yet another earthquake has hit New Zealand.
Workers in Parliament dived under their desks and residents ran from their homes after a 6.5 magnitude earthquake hit the Wellington region this afternoon. A Geo Net report said the quake hit at 3.36pm at a depth of 150km and was centred 30km west of Taupo.
Wellington City Council said there were no immediate reports of damage and Civil Defence had also not received any reports of significant damage in the region. Taupō Civil Defence had also had no reports of damage.

After watching the Fellowship of the Ring again, I was reminded how much I enjoyed the music and the songs. During the The Council of Elrond scene there is a song sung in Tolkien’s Elvish language “Sindarin” called ‘Aniron (Theme for Aragorn And Arwen)’ . I did a little digging and have found an interview with Enya where she not only talks about her songs but her love for The Lord of The Rings, how she got involved with the production and Tolkien’s Elvish language’s. Robert P. alerted us to a great clip on YouTube that contains so many different brands of geekery it might shut down the internet. But since one of those branches is Gollum from both Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, we feel it is our duty to share it with the TORn audience.
If you haven’t seen Neil Gaiman live (appearing on public radio in the clip) he is a supremely entertaining and talented author and storyteller. In this clip he speaks with Mythbusters‘ Adam Savage doing a rendition of Gollum singing a popular culture radio tune that gets to the heart of Gollum’s character. Savage happens to be an entertaining television figure but was a heck of a nice guy last year when speaking with TORn at Comic-Con. We think is worth a few minutes of your geekery.

From the NZPA: The Council of Trade Unions will seek legal advice on challenging an Ombudsman’s rejection of its bid to get a copy of the Crown Law opinion on last year’s industrial dispute over the filming of The Hobbit. In a final decision, Ombudsman David McGee rejected appeals from the CTU and Radio New Zealand and said the legal opinion should remain secret, Radio New Zealand reported. Last year, the Government said the Crown Law opinion confirmed that by law, film producers could not enter into union-negotiated agreements with actors who were independent contractors.
