Tina writes: “We’re have a big part of our team sit down from 2-6 PDT today to watch the ‘Fellowship of the Ring: extended edition’ all together. Luckily, being a game studio means we all have tvs, computers, and dvd players right at our desk. We’ll be chatting along on Facebook with a heavy bent of just fans being fans together.
The main reason we set this up is because the theatrical re-release didn’t come to our part of town, so not many of us got to go… I know it is that way for International fans, and a lot of other folks as well.”

On this special edition of J.W. Braun’s bookshelf, J.W. looks at every Lord of the Rings DVD and Blu-ray set, including the collection hitting store shelves later this month! [Michael, this is a special video that’s meant to be shared with fans sometime between now and next week – it should be about 14 minutes long. And then I’ll take a mini vacation in July before returning with another “bookshelf” installment in August.]
It is Wednesday June 15th 2011, and many of us are just waking up from a long night of Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition bliss. As requested, many fans have emailed in their photos and experiences. So to make things easy on everyone, we are going to continuously update this particular post with your experience as you send them in. We did get quite a few reports of technical issues with the screening, and we’ll pass that along to the folks at Fathom and WB.
