You’ve seen these photos before, but not, I think at this sort of resolution. So without further ado, here are five super high-res stills from The Hobbit: the Battle of the Five Armies. BillbyBoydTheLastGoodbyeFor fans who just can’t wait until the end credits of The Battle of the Five Armies rolls before getting their first listen to Billy Boyd’s “The Last Goodbye”, the entire song is currently streaming on Billboard.com.

Here’s what Billy had to say about the song (excerpted from Billboard):

“We focused on not just the final installment, but moreso on this 10-year epic adventure,” says Boyd.  “A song to sum up the six movies. We recorded in Wellington, New Zealand, at one point traveling to Auckland to Neil Finn’s studio — where we recorded some of the guitar.  It was surreal to be in his studio, as he did the song for [2012’s] The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.”

As reported previously, the 2-CD Standard Edition OST releases December 9, 2014, followed by the 2-CD Special Edition OST on December 16, 2014.
