It is Wednesday June 15th 2011, and many of us are just waking up from a long night of Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition bliss. As requested, many fans have emailed in their photos and experiences. So to make things easy on everyone, we are going to continuously update this particular post with your experience as you send them in. Make sure you are including your theater and location in the emails, otherwise they may not get posted. We did get quite a few reports of technical issues with the screening, and we’ll pass that along to the folks at Fathom and WB. Of course, check out our Facebook page as many folks are directly posting to it with their experiences. Without further delay, click the ‘continue reading’ button to read more about experiences from fans throughout the US and NZ as they saw The Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition on the big screen for the first time! You can still buy tickets to TTT and ROTK, and don’t forget to order your copy of LOTR Ex on Blu-Ray! [TORn on Facebook] [Buy Tickets] [WBshop.com]

This is the second story of the day with fan creations that have truly impressed. Javi Aguilar writes: We’ve created our own version of the dwarfs and the mine, and I thought you’d like to see the pictures. I’m a photographer from Barcelona (Spain). This is the link at Flickr, you may want to visit my website: www.javiaguilar.com.
Ron Newcomb dropped us a line to let us know his film ‘The Fellows Hip – Rise of the Gamers’ is almost ready for viewing, and based on this impressive trailer, it looks like a ton of fun!
Ron writes “I believe your fans would enjoy our film, as our customers are very similar in nature. It was written for fans by fans about geeks and those who love them. The Fellows Hip: Rise of the Gamers is a buddy-comedy written in honor of online gamers and The Lord of the Rings. Full of Tolkien-references and good-hearted parody, The Fellows Hip will appeal to Tolkien-fans and gamers alike, as well as anyone who’s never been part of the in-crowd.” Visit www.TheFellowsHipMovie.com

We’re just a day away! Tomorrow The Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition will be in theaters nationwide. If you have not already picked up tickets, make sure you do so ASAP. [Buy Tickets] My local theater sold out as of last Thursday, but hopefully there are still some seats at your theater.
Make sure you arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of time as rumor has it there will be some great LOTR themed content, a special message from Peter Jackson from The Hobbit set, and you might just see something completely unexpected!
After you get home tomorrow night, if you want to share your thoughts and pictures, please do not hesitate to email us at spymaster@theonering.net. We’ll pick as many as we can to post, but make sure to include your theater name and location.
We can also alert you of a BIG event taking place in Los Angeles on June 27th. If you live in LA, you may want to consider taking the day off, as this event will have loads of activities, concluding in the largest giveaway a LOTR fan could ask for! Intrigued? Details are coming soon!
And, last but not least, don’t forget to snag Extended Editions on Blu-ray June 28th! If you purchase it directly through WBShop.com you’ll get a bonus set of 5×7 posters with your purchase. [WBshop.com] [Buy Tickets]
