Comic Book GuyFans of ‘The Simpsons’ got a small LOTR reference in tonight’s episode according to TheOneRing.net message boarder, Draug the Unspeakably Violent. Marge is walking by during this college class *held in the mid-1990’s*, she overhears Comic Book Guy tell his students: “…And that is why “The Lord of the Rings” is unfilmable!”. The episode is ‘The 90’s Show’ and while the east coasters have missed out already, west coasters can still catch it live when it airs tonight. [The Simpsons Homepage]

TheRegent76, a registered user on our message boards, writes: I’d like to post about our fan film parody of Lord of the Rings (well, “fellowship”, really). We did it in the style of “Be Kind Rewind”, where they ‘Swede” films – taking something you love and remaking it in your own way. Our way was to be humorous and we’ve been blessed that people have been laughing at our efforts on youtube and the net. New Line even gave us a nod by linking to the youtube channel from the lordoftherings.net site, something I’m still amazed and happy by. So take a look and enjoy. Please let me know if you like it or hate it!
