If you were lucky enough to be at Emerald City Comic Con, you got to see our friend Jerry Vanderstelt paint a large version of this at the Weta Workshop booth. Now fans can add a giclee version of this image to their collections. This fantastic piece gives you a great portrait look at The Balrog, one of the coolest creatures in all of Middle-earth.

This time fans can add Gandalf the Grey on Gwaihir as he escapes being trapped by former friend Saruman the White. This beautiful statue does a very good job of capturing the tiniest of details between Gandalf and Gwaihir. This was one of the surprise pieces at Comic-Con last year and I will say it was one heck of a surprise. A brand new Boromir statue capturing his last moments in battle trying to save Merry and Pippin is quite a powerful piece. I think many will agree this is Boromir’s most heroic moment. Not only does this piece have power and beauty, it is simply fantastic in terms of paint as well as detail. Fans who were at Comic-Con know that this statue doesn’t come alone; it’s meant to be paired with a Lurtz statue (he will be reviewed shortly). Both pieces come with a price tag of $299 and an edition size of 1000 pieces.

If you’re into 1:6 figures of your favorite Middle-earth characters then Asmus Toys has you covered. Their latest figure is Gandalf the Grey and the fantastic thing about this figure is that it covers both The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. How is that? This figure comes with all the staffs Gandalf uses over the course of all six films. The thing that blows me away the most in the pictures of this figure is how well done the clothes look. They really look movie screen quality. I also like the blend of sculpted hair in the beard and real hair on the top of his head. The final thing that really impressed me was if you want to recreate the bridge scene from The Fellowship of the Ring. Gandalf comes in with a price tag of $199 and comes with an insane amount of stuff.
