Tonight, the artisans from Weta released the latest statue in their mini-statue line. The character chosen to join the line-up, accompanying Gollum and Gandalf the Grey, is none other than the future King of Gondor, Strider. This adaptation of the character, features Strider as we first see him in Bree. This is the first time we’ve seen Strider captured in this pose and looks to be a must own The Lord of the Rings collectible. This statue will cost $75 and will be shipping sometime in September/October.

At Comic-Con 2011 the folks at Weta announced and displayed the newest environment to land in our collections. Then 
on July 31st 2011 this amazing collectible went up for pre-order to those wishing to purchase this collectible. If you were one of the first 400 people to order Orthanc, you would end up with a numbered addition, and a special gold-plated Eye of Sauron pin commemorating the day of sale. Originally, this collectible was named Orthanc Pre-Ruin but Weta and TheOneRing.net teamed up to give it an even cooler name. The winning name chosen by Weta was Orthanc – Black Tower of Isengard. This version of Orthanc shows this place as we see it when Gandalf the Grey arrives to talk with Saruman upon realizing that The One Ring has been found. A little birdie has sent us a teaser image of what we believe to be the first official t-shirt for ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.’ Based on the image, we think it is pretty safe to say the black t-shirt will feature the promo artwork of Bilbo walking out the door of Bag End. Rumor has it this shirt will be available this week sometime…we’ll keep you updated!
