Along with the pre-order of the Ringwraith Legendary Scale Bust, Sideshow also posted a few other LOTR updates with their newsletter launch last night. In their production blog, Sideshow posted of a few official reference shots of the Witch-King in Twilight Form – something we had not seen before. It is pretty cool to see this digitally manipulated character, which appeared so blurred on the screen, in crystal clear photography. The images were posted to show how they finished the sculpt for Sideshow’s Witch-king Legendary Scale Bust. The second update is a 360° view of the Aragorn Premium Format Figure with one of the best Viggo likenesses we have ever seen. To see this file, you need to click on the icon below the feature image at Sideshow’s website. Now if only I could save up enough to get all this stuff! [Witch-King Imagery] [Aragorn PF]

Artist and Ringer fan Grant Gould will have a card featured in the upcoming TOPPS ‘Lord of the Rings: Masterpieces II’ trading cards, arriving in stores early February. Grant’s artwork will be included in the base set and is titled it ‘Return of the Kings.’ (Click on the Thumbnail to be taken to his blog for a full view) Grant says, “I wanted to capture an unseen moment from the movies, and decided to draw Aragorn standing beside the King of the Dead, sailing toward Minas Tirith. It was a lot of fun to create, and a huge honor to officially be part of the LOTR art world, even if in a small way.” Look for this new set from TOPPS in local comic, collectible or gaming shops. I happened to be flipping through channels over the holiday and ran across a marathon of The Science Channel’s ‘How It’s Made.’ You are probably saying, yea, so what?! Well, this particular episode was on how pinball machines are made and the pinball machine they were making was a The Lord of the Rings one! After further investigation, it looks like you can watch this episode online at the Science Channel website. If you don’t feel like watching it online, it looks like this episode is airing again on Jan 19th. [How It’s Made]
