From the L.A. Times: Warner Bros. has succeeded in blocking the release of a low-budget knockoff the same week that “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” hits theaters. A federal judge has issued a temporary restraining order against Tuesday’s scheduled DVD and online release of “Age of the Hobbits” from “mockbuster” factory Global Asylum. Judge Philip S. Entertainment Weekly revealed one of four ‘collector’s edition covers’ of their upcoming December 14 issue today. The cover features a prominent picture of Martin Freeman (Bilbo Baggins), and also has a little teaser about a first look at the next film. No details yet on how extensive the ‘first look’ will be. We’re just a little over a week away now from the world-wide release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and fans are getting a final tease of what should be a superb collectible. Jerry Vanderstelt has released the last of his teaser images for his upcoming print that will capture The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. In this image we get a fantastic look at brothers Dwalin, Balin, a small glimpse of Thorin, and the eagles.
