Regal Cinemas invited TheOneRing’s Cliff Broadway to host the first-ever Super Ticket Hobbit Fan Event at Meltdown Comics in Hollywood a little over a week ago. Los Angeles fans assembled to geek out and win Super Tickets that would make them among the very first to download The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug once it’s released to home video.
Since news for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is starting to flood out the door (we posted 15 new stories yesterday), we thought we’d try to recap the big news for readers. We’ll be doing this every day or two from now up until the movie debuts on December 13 to make sure you don’t miss out on anything just because the pace of news is pushing material off our frontpage.

As part of our fundraiser a few months back, Sir Peter Jackson and 3Foot7 kindly showed their support for TheOneRing.net by very generously donating to the website a poster, signed by pretty much ALL the cast from the three Hobbit movies! This is an extraordinary item, and a true one-of-a-kind. The regular movie sized poster shows Bilbo outside the front door to Bag End, and has simply, ‘There … and Back Again’ as text.
