  1. I’ve sung The LOTR Symphony in 2004 (with Sissel) and 2005 (with a VERY young Kaitlyn Lusk) with the Houston Symphony. (I also just sang The Fellowship of the Ring movie/concert with Maestro Ludwig Wicki) It is a gorgeous, exciting work and is wonderful to sing OR to listen to. The LOTR Symphony was my impetus to write my own arrangement and highlight the choral works of LOTR Symphony and substitute the heavy orchestration with choral voices. We saw Howard Shore himself conduct his LOTR symphony with the Cleveland Orchestra right here in Cleveland a few years ago, with a projected slide show of stills from the movies. It was utterly fabulous to hear, and I can’t wait for the CD set !
