Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment releases three new video vignettes for the November 1 game, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North. In each of three, one of the heroes in the brutal battle ahead is featured, with three facets of their character featured – the upgrading of skills, their inherent abilities, and their methods of defense.
Farin, the Dwarf warrior. Andriel, the elf lore-master. Eredan, the human ranger. Each of these vignettes focuses on not only their actions and abilities in combat – showcasing their various long and short range attacks against Middle-earth’s most detestable creatures – but spotlights the abilities innate to each race and the navigation of their skill tree, giving a glimpse of what each character is capable of. Lurking in the forgotten tombs of Barrow-downs, dwelling amongst the fallen dead, the Barrow-wights wait under reign of the Barrow-wight Lord. Revealed in this new video, the Barrow-wight Lord has overtaken this sacred Ranger burial ground. He uses magic and minions most foul to spread the rule of evil in the darkness and death of his lair. Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment releases a new behind-the-scenes video, giving an in-depth look at the newly revealed characters from their upcoming video game, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North. Key members of the Snowblind Studios development team will guide fans through the tortuous walls of Fornost and the story of how Beleram joins the Fellowship of three on their quest to save the fate of Middle-earth.
In this video, the famous silver screen likeness of Elrond and Gandalf are seen, as are the characters of Radagast, the Brown Wizard -and Elrond’s twin sons, Elladan and Elrohir – known only from the pages of J.R.R. Tolkien literature. The recently introduced Great Eagle, Beleram, is also seen breaking free of his goblin captors in the ruins of Fornost to join in the fight, his strength and skills a necessity against the legions of enemies ahead.
