IMG_3394He just went on sale and we have an exclusive first look at this fantastic statue. We’ve teamed up with our friends at Weta Workshop to give you the first chance to see just how awesome the Bolg statue from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug turned out.

Bolg is an impressive statue with some gruesome metal implanted into his body. All the fanstastic details were put there by the talented Gary Hunt and Greg Tozer. Bolg has an edition size of 1000 pieces world wide and comes with a price tag of just $279, which for something this size, detail, and paint is a really good deal.

Hobbit-The-Battle-Of-The-Five-Armies1-e1406558769186We’ve come to the end of road for new releases of Middle-earth based movies, and I find myself happy to see the movie while also being sad that it’s the end. We of course do have the Extended Edition that will come out next year so we have that to look forward to. I’ve had a chance to see this twice already and I’ve walked away loving it each time. I’m going to copy the format my fellow staffer Garfeimao used to give my thoughts on various moments.

hobbitdossmaugterriblealrg2Today is the day! As we promised you last week, the Smaug the Terrible statue by our friends at Weta Workshop has gone up for order. This was a show stealing piece last year at Comic-Con, and I know many fans including myself have been waiting to get a chance to order this piece. Smaug went up today at 11am PST with a special pre-order price of $699, which is good through January 25th of next year; after that date the price will go up to $749. Another note about the pre-order: when fans place their orders there will be a $100 NRD (Non-Refundable Deposit) at the time of order. Smaug has an edition size of 2000 pieces world-wide, and as per the sign at Comic-Con is due to ship in quarter one of next year. Do not hesitate to order this piece and add what will be a grail into your collection!

HobbitLineageofDurinTapestry2In the last two days we’ve had three new items pop up from Weta Workshop as we head into Comic-Con 2014.

If you’re a fan of The Hobbit Trilogy then this item is for you. We see Bard checking this out in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and fans can now purchase their own copy of the Line of Durin art print. This replica, in smaller scale, looks just like the tapestry that Bard looks at as he figures out just who these Dwarves are. You can get this print right now for just $30 and it’s even in-stock! Also, from The Hobbit Trilogy fans can get a set of postcards with various moments from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey for only $22.50.

Fans of The Lord of the Rings won’t feel left out either as we also get a great set of postcards capturing moments from one of the best trilogies of all-time. The postcards for The Lord of the Rings also come in at $22.50 and are in-stock.

IMG_9873Nori the Dwarf recently arrived to join our collections and brings us to nine of the thirteen Dwarves in Thorin’s Company.

The character design for Nori is one of the most unqiue that Peter Jackson went with when creating these characters for The Hobbit Trilogy. Our friends at Weta Workshop have done a fantastic job of taking that look and turning it into a great 1:6th scale representation of the character played by Jed Brophy. Nori is a limited edition piece with an edition size of just 1000 pieces world wide and can be purchased right now for $250.
