IMG_5878One of my favorite creatures in all of Middle-earth is the Balrog. When this guy first popped on-screen in The Lord of the Rings; The Fellowship of the Ring, my jaw dropped with just how cool he looked, and last year at Comic-Con the same thing happened when I saw this amazing piece. Part of the reborn The Lord of the Rings statue line, this time fans get a large version of this mind blowing creature. Coming in at 20.5″ high, with a weight of 33 pounds the Balrog is going to be a piece that will make everyone who sees your collection stop and look at it in awe. IMG_8749One of the best statues from The Lord of the Rings Trilogy statue line is The Balrog of Moria statue. This amazing piece came out in 2001/02 with a retail price of $300 and an edition size of a 1000 pieces worldwide. It is one of the most amazing statues to represent any character in Middle-earth and if you have the cash on the secondary market I would strongly recommend getting it. So I thought for the first video review I’d do this statue, since I have just succeeded in getting it back into my own collection. Let me know in the comments below what you think of the video review as I do these in conjunction with some of my written reviews.

Bane of Durin headshotFBSome of my favorite moments from The Lord of the Rings are the moments within the Mines of Moria. I especially love when we meet the Balrog. That moment on screen I know blew many of us away. Now, our friend and amazing artist Jerry Vanderstelt has created a stunning print of this really cool looking creature. This print captures the Balrog as he roams around Moria showing off all his power. You can get The Balrog right now for $75 for the Paper Edition and $180 for the Canvas Edition. The Balrog is yet another stellar print from Jerry Vanderstelt joining prints like Sauron, Aragorn/King of the Dead, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King, and of course The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
