My favorite piece from Comic-Con 2016 has arrived and I’m super excited to finally get a chance to review it. The Lady Galadriel by our friends at Weta Workshop and sculpted by the phenomenally talented Lindsey Crummett is without a doubt the best Galadriel that’s ever been done. It just blew me away back during Comic-Con and the production version does as well. As you will see in the video, this piece has some really awesome detail, from the face to that intricate outfit. These are just some of the reasons why this piece sold out during pre-order and with an edition size of 750 pieces will be difficult to tack down.

This was one of the surprise pieces at Comic-Con last year and I will say it was one heck of a surprise. A brand new Boromir statue capturing his last moments in battle trying to save Merry and Pippin is quite a powerful piece. I think many will agree this is Boromir’s most heroic moment. Not only does this piece have power and beauty, it is simply fantastic in terms of paint as well as detail. Fans who were at Comic-Con know that this statue doesn’t come alone; it’s meant to be paired with a Lurtz statue (he will be reviewed shortly). Both pieces come with a price tag of $299 and an edition size of 1000 pieces.

The Battle of the Last Alliance sequence at the beginning of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is one of the coolest moments in cinema. One of the many cool moments within that sequence is when you get that chain of Elves swiping to kill the orcs as they charge. Our friends at Weta Workshop have captured this perfectly with the Elven Warrior statue. The Elven Warrior was quite limited as well, with only 750 pieces worldwide, and is now sold out via Weta Workshop’s site. So if you’re looking to add this to your collection I’d suggest beginning that search now, before this one reaches grail status among The Lord of the Rings statue line.

One of the new items introduced at last year’s Comic-Con was the 1:30 range of collectibles where fans can recreate scenes from both of Peter Jackson’s Middle-earth trilogies. The first set to start things off is the recreation of the scene from Dol Guldur during The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Besides how well it is done, the beauty of this set is that fans can moves things around to create their own version of the events.

14756336341ca934fe51f1d07fb239361f5cd8cfe8Previewed during Comic-Con 2016 at the Weta Cave, our friends at Weta Workshop are proud to announce their newest statue for The Hobbit Trilogy line of statues. Joining the collections of many collectors world-wide is none other than The Witch-King as we saw him at Dol Guldur during The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. This fantastic statue is a super dynamic pose of The Witch-King looking to take out a member of The White Council. Collectors, you can add this to your collection for $349 and I would do so quickly as the edition size of this one comes in at only 750 pieces. The expected delivery of this one is scheduled for December of this year.

IMG_7812Tonight we have several new items from our friends at Weta Workshop. The first of these new items was my personal favorite at this years San Diego Comic-Con.

The beautiful Lady Galadriel at Dol Guldur is without a doubt the best version of this character we’ve had a chance to add to any of our collections. This stunning piece comes in with an edition size of only 750 pieces world wide and can be purchased for $275. You can expect to have her in March of 2017.

The next two items continue the growing resurgence of the helm line. Fans can now add the helm of Dain Ironfoot as well as The Witch King as we see him at Dol Guldur during The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Both the helms come in with a price tag of $79 and edition sizes of 750 pieces. If you manage to order all three helms that have been released so far by September 30th, 2016 by midnight (NZT) you can be in the running to get the #1/500 Uruk-Hai helm.
