IMG_3849Sculpted by Gary Hunt this fantastic statue made its debut at Comic-Con just last year. This pose and the likeness are fantastic! They capture Bard as he’s trying to do all he possibly can to take out the dragon Smaug. Bard comes in with an edition size of 1000 pieces world-wide and is in-stock in both the United States and New Zealand warehouses while the UK is in pre-order status. You can add Bard to your collection for just $299.

IMG_3123As we draw near this year’s San Diego Comic-Con let’s cover a piece that made an appearance at last year’s show. The really cool Smaug: King Under the Mountain, a.k.a. “Smauglet,” was one of the pieces that stole the hearts of everyone I know that was at the Weta Booth. It takes everything we loved about Smaug and shrunk him down to a size that fits in anyone’s collection. Weta did such a fantastic job of capturing so much detail and allowing collectors to snag this for a solid price of $125. If you order now or before June 15th you can get him for $99 and he is in-stock.

HobbitBotFABardb2The last two days have seen two new items from our friends at Weta that are tied to this, the final film in the fantastic Hobbit Trilogy.

The first item landed yesterday and was something we saw at Comic-Con 2014 to do with a certain Dragon Slayer. That’s right, fans can now get one of Weta’s amazing statues capturing Bard the Bowman. This statue of Bard is so well done, with all the usual great details, as well as a dead on likeness to Luke Evans. Bard is currently up for pre-order for $299 with an expected ship date during quarter one of next year. There is also a small deposit that will be required at the time of order for those who will be one of only 1000 people to own this statue.

One of my favorite moments from the last film was The White Council taking on the Necromancer in Dol Guldur. Now if you’ve always wanted to own Saruman’s Staff, Weta has now released this amazing prop replica for you to add to your collection. Limited to just 1500 pieces worldwide you can snag this replica for $249 with a deposit at the time of purchase, and you should have this sometime during quarter one of next year.

hobbitdossmaugkingblrg2The last couple of days have presented us with several new collectibles from the amazing folks at Weta Workshop. The first new item is from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and is none other than the Dragon himself Smaug. This is the mini-version we saw at Comic-Con this past July. This fun sized Smaug which is still plenty big, considering that Smaug himself isn’t a tiny one, comes in with solid price tag of $125, which will be shipping between December-February. Anyone that orders Smaug – King Under The Mountain will have to put down a 20% NRD when they order.

In conjunction with the final of The Hobbit Trilogy fans can add a commemorative pin for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. This pin can be added to your collection for only $10.99 and is in-stock ready to ship. The final item comes from The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. If you’ve enjoyed collecting the pins from The Hobbit Trilogy now you can also do so for The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. This three piece set covers all three movies for $29.99 with this also being in-stock and ready to ship to your collections.

hobbitthroralrg2 With all the holiday craziness that comes as we hit the holiday season you may have missed a brand-new item from our friends at Weta Workshop that went up for order on Black Friday. King Thror was one of the show stealers from Comic-Con this past July and now fans can add this to their collections.

The King is on sale through tomorrow night for a $50 discount taking him to $299, which is a great price for such a beautiful piece. If you wait and order him after Sunday at midnight then he goes back to his normal retail price of $349, and no matter the price you pay he is an in-stock item so you should have a King ready to show off when you have family/friends over for the Christmas. hobbitdossmaugterriblealrg2Today is the day! As we promised you last week, the Smaug the Terrible statue by our friends at Weta Workshop has gone up for order. This was a show stealing piece last year at Comic-Con, and I know many fans including myself have been waiting to get a chance to order this piece. Smaug went up today at 11am PST with a special pre-order price of $699, which is good through January 25th of next year; after that date the price will go up to $749. Another note about the pre-order: when fans place their orders there will be a $100 NRD (Non-Refundable Deposit) at the time of order. Smaug has an edition size of 2000 pieces world-wide, and as per the sign at Comic-Con is due to ship in quarter one of next year. Do not hesitate to order this piece and add what will be a grail into your collection!
