Adultery, death, child molestation: Centering on the brutal rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl, Peter Jackson’s “The Lovely Bones” is one grief filled set-piece after another. Except it’s got Susan Sarandon laughing all the way to the suburbs. “I play kind of the comic relief,” Sarandon said of her role as Grandma Lynn in the upcoming production. “She’s [a] drinking, hard shooting, smoking [old lady] cutting across all of the pain, pain, pain. Washington, Nov 2 (ANI): Peter Jackson is gearing up to produce live-action sci-fi drama ‘District 9’. The movie will be helmed by Neill Blomkamp, and will mark his feature directing debut. Blomkamp also penned the script for the movie along with Terri Tatchell, reports Variety. Jackson will produce through his WingNut Films production banner. QED Intl. will be financing the pic through its credit facility with Comerica Bank and Aramid Entertainment Fund, and will handle worldwide sales. Auditions are under way in Los Angeles for some of the key supporting roles in three Tintin movies to be directed by Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg. Movie website IGN.com reported that auditions were taking place for 16 characters, included identical police officers Thomson and Thompson. Jackson and Spielberg will direct at least one movie each, with Spielberg filming his in Los Angeles and Jackson in Wellington – but the two have been tight- lipped about casting or which of the 23 Tintin books they will film.
