A few reports are coming in from Ringers who tuned into the UK’s Channel 4 Paul O’Grady Show. Sir Ian McKellen was a special guest today, and confirmed a few things: He has received ‘both’ scripts. Original LOTR cast members will be returning. He has signed the declaration that he will not talk to friends, family or even his agent about the script! He does not know who is cast as Bilbo, but believes he will be an English actor. Sounds like a great interview – hopefully it will be posted on the O’Grady site soon. Thanks to Ringers Simon and Paul for the heads up. [O’Grady Website]

From Annarep: Billy Boyd appeared on BBC Alba in a “Day in a Life” program. Great interview with a lot of information and some Beecake rehearsal footage. He also talks about LOTR and gives some interesting details – like being the first person cast for the movie. When Peter Jackson gave him a call, no one else was cast yet, so Billy talks about watching the news for the next three weeks trying to figure out who’d be in the movie. Watch the interview on YouTube: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.
The riddle contest was a hit! We received tons of emails, and most of you were correct, the answer was of course Billy Boyd (see the interview here).
The answer key is this: Take 2-1-23-4-9-12-25 13-15-9-12 and replace the numbers with letters. This leaves you with BAWDILY MOIL which is an anagram of William Boyd AKA Billy Boyd.
Those of you with the correct answer will now be put into a random draw to win ‘The Return of the King: The Complete Recordings’ CD box set. Check this space for the winners name soon!
