Hey folks, happy weekend..:) Due to the great scoop Xoanon landed the other day, I have updated the cast page with character descriptions etc. I will also update characters page with this information in the future.

We also have 5 new fan art images and a small change in the format for fan art. Tell me what you think. Thanks!

One more thing…submit those poll questions! Due by Sunday Noon EST.

Xoanon here,

Just a few more names to throw into the Rings, NZ ONFILM is reporting that Bruce ‘Die Hard’ Willis is petitioning PJ for a role in ‘Fellowship’.
Premiere magazine reports that Bruce Willis has also called Jackson seeking a role in the trilogy.
And as production rolls on, a few more crew names begin to slip my way.
Nick Weir as props master, Jill Westwalker as assistant props master, and Nick Riera as props buyer.

Calisuri here,

Looks like our weekly poll hit the hotspot for the week. Cinescape.com has a report from Reuters which says Sean Connery is at the very least interested in “an adaptation of J. R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings.” The tid-bit goes on to say that Mr. Connery is awaiting a script for his review! All of you who voted for Connery as Gandalf might just be getting your wish!

Here are the poll results from last week:

Poll from 4/7-4/16

msboyd chimed in a couple of days ago with some interesting news, it seems some friends of hers are being looked over for some major characters.

News has come from spies in the theatrical world in London. PJ has been looking around and auditioning some of the bright young talents there, some of them still not yet out of drama school. It looks like we’re going to see fresh faces playing roles like Pippin and Merry.

Cinescape Online reporter Chris Kivlehan, on hand to ask the tough questions of the assembled actors at the Star Wars Celebration convention in Denver today, asked Phantom Menace actor Warwick Davis about his interest in possibly being involved with the upcoming Lord of the Rings trilogy and whether or not he had contacted Peter Jackson. Davis responded “I was fortunate enough to audition for that film.” He went on to explain that it didn”t work out, and an actor Timothy Spall has been cast as Gimli. Spall is not of small stature but will instead be reduced in size through special effects which caused some disappointment with an actor who felt he had the obvious attributes to carry that role.
