Our latest episode of ‘TheOneRing.net Radio Show’ (we need a better title) is now online and available for listening! Our guest was none other than Sir Ian McKellen, and boy did he dish out on The Hobbit! Along with telling us details about reading the script a little while back, he teased us about his forbidden knowledge of events, new and returning character and more! Check out the latest episode using the player above, or click here.
Our second guest, the great Andy Serkis, was a victim of technical difficulties and we were not able to have him on the air live. What we did record the interview and will have a transcript online this week!
We’ve heard news from up on high that even the NEW address to send your Hobbity likeness for possible contention for The Hobbit is not accurate. In fact casting calls will not be announced until February 2010. That being said, get your CV (resume) and headshots ready..we will announce as soon as we have confirmation!
Ataahua writes: New Zealand’s TV3 has just broadcast an interview with Peter Jackson ahead of tonight’s NZ premier of The Lovely Bones. When the discussion led to preparations for filming The Hobbit, he had this to say:
“We had slipped a copy of the script to Ian McKellen, who read it – because obviously we want Ian back again as Gandalf. Literally, we had somebody fly to London with the script in their hand baggage, they went to his house, gave him the script and then when he was finished with it he gave it back and that person took it to a shredding machine and shredded the script. The security is so tight.” Continue reading “PJ Talks Hobbit, McKellen & More!”
