Thanks to a reminder from our Facbeook friend Marcye, and the great folks from Tolkien Sarcasm Page, this oldie but goodie is worth revisiting after almost 10 years! Yes, the story is rather condensed and a bit different, but that is what we’ve come to expect from Hollywood adaptations right? We particularly enjoy the ‘Moria’ sign…Enjoy! [Credits]
Once again, we’re calling all costumed LOTR fans who want to share their hard work, dedication and love of LOTR with an internet audience. The project is a parody/comedy for a well known voice over actor and would requires costumes from the following characters, or close enough replications:
Aragorn, Legolas, Boromir, Samwise, Gandalf, Frodo, Gimli
If you are interested and have a really cool LOTR costume you’d like to showcase, and live in Los Angeles or surrounding SoCal, drop me a line at xoanon@theonering.net. See you on the small screen!
A group of Lord of the Rings fans gathered in San Diego yesterday for a Flashmob dance, in preparation for the big FOTR concert there later this week. It certainly looked like a nice day in the park for it, I’m sure the Hobbits had a wonderful afternoon.

Alyse writes: Just wanted to provide details on the Last March of the Ents in Lego story you posted yesterday. Two of individuals involved are long time friends and supporters of TORn, which is why one of them is wearing a TORn shirt.
Taken from the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, this Lego model displays the epic battle as depicted in the film version of this timeless book. The base of the model is 305 Lego studs (8ft.) in diameter and the tower Orthanc stands 228 Lego bricks (7ft. 2in.) tall. The battle consists of 25+ Ents and 100+ Orcs. Flickr Site
Megasteakman writes: Hey guys! We just released a pretty epic fake trailer heavily inspired by Jackson and co’s take on Lord of the Rings. I think it’s a great tribute to one of our favourite trilogies (and it’s pro-environment/recycling, which I think Tolkien would have approved of), so if you like it, could you please post the video for your readers? I think they might get a kick out of it. Thanks so much! All the best!
