More Hobbit-y goodness for all! This time it’s superb portraits of the 13 members of the Company. I tell you, I am starting to get a feeling that James Nesbitt’s Bofur will be a bit of a scene stealer.

The only ones missing (at the moment) are Bilbo and Thorin Oakenshield.

The great news for fans is that there are no plot spoilers here (unless you count costumes). So dip right into the full gallery below!

With the release of the new “Hobbit” app for Apple products, Warner Bros. has also opened the floodgates of new images and smacked viewers in the head with the ending of the first film, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.” The app came with a spoiler tag, but we know there are plenty of readers who are trying not to know every little detail, much less the breakdown of how these films become three movies from one book. Honoring those folks, we have hidden the unmistakable image after the break. It duplicates the promotional scroll released right before Comic-Con (take a gander here) when there where still two films. That confirmed the original break and this one, the new ending of the first film. Our image focuses only on the last scene. An argument could be made that the scroll isn’t definitive but it would be a weak and losing battle. If you click, you will be spoiled so proceed at your own risk; You will not be able to un-see the image. Continue reading “Ending of first ‘Hobbit’ film revealed, image after break”

Why should Apple users get all the fun? Here are all the new photos from the Hobbit application that was launched just today!

Lots of them are at Bag End, but a couple of surprises appear to come from much later in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. And a couple will definitely please the Hot Dwarves fans. Anyway, enough waffle, go check them out! Potential spoilers!

This is their first-ever collaboration since the official Tolkien Calendar began publishing 40 years ago.

Each month depicts one of the most famous scenes from The Hobbit, including Bilbo outside Bag End, Smaug the Dragon, the Great Goblin and Bilbo’s Front Hall. As well as classic illustrations from bo

Looks as though New Zealand wins the “firsties” game when it comes to the general release of The Hobbit, An Unexpected Journey.

Ringer Lissuin stumbled on the news when The Roxy Cinema in Miramar sent out their on-line newsletter announcing Dec 13 as the release date. An email follow-up got this answer: “…according to the release schedule given to all cinemas it is the 13th December for NZ.”

Roadshow Entertainment, the distributor for Warners in NZ, and Lianda Boorett, publicist for The Hobbit, have subsequently confirmed this is true.
