January 24th, 2011 – TheOneRing.net and Galatia films have joined forces to produce ‘Hobbit in 5’, a weekly video series of Hobbit movie news.

Since, he has shared an illustration by “Where the Wild Things Are” illustrator, Maurice Sendak who was set to illustrate the Hobbit but suffered health issues that prevented the project going forward. With production on the Hobbit films to begin in the next couple of weeks, business owners in Miramar, the home of Sir Peter Jackson’s studios, are gearing up for what they believe will be a very busy season.

Since the Lord of the Rings hit the big screen, the town of Miramar has been a hive of activity, with blockbusters like King Kong and Avatar also being produced there.

From MTV.com: Two weeks ago, news broke that Elijah Wood will be returning to Middle-Earth (a.k.a. New Zealand) as beloved Shire-dweller Frodo for a small role in Peter Jackson’s two-part “LOTR” prequel “The Hobbit” — and now MTV News has scored some exclusive details on the cameo from Wood himself.

While at the Sundance Film Festival to promote the Adam Yauch-directed Beastie Boys short “Fight for Your Right Revisited,” Wood opened up to MTV about why he’s excited for his “Hobbit” role, what it might entail and why J.R.R. Tolkein purists need not fret — or snarl like Gollum — at the idea of Frodo’s inclusion in the films (he wasn’t in the book). Check out the interview below.
