Comic-Con Thursday sked released and TORn is on it!

July 8, 2010 at 4:16 pm by admin  -

We have been spreading unofficial rumors that would be presenting a panel at Comic-Con but the official website confirmed it today: At 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 22, in room 7AB founder Calisuri, the incomparable Quickbeam and fan advocate MrCere will present the latest unofficial new about ‘The Hobbit’ movies and everything else there is time for. Guests possible but not promised. If you haven’t heard, returned tickets are now available to the general public from the previously sold out Comic-Con. TORn will also be sharing space with Weta at the Dark Horse booth (#2615) and selling really cool shirts! We hope to see you there.

So many panels – so little time at Comicon. So, when I set aside time for the TORN panel, I didn’t do so anticipating that my time would be so dissappointingly wasted. It’s not your fault the “The Hobbit” is dalayed, but to hold a panel and basically say there is nothing to report was fridiculous. An attempt to at least try to make it interesting would have been appreciated. I have loved the website for many years, but don’t waste our time at the Con. Backlash from us should be avoided. Just ask M Night Shyamalan

  2. Hi Erkinbrand,

Sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy the panel. We did receive a lot of positive feedback from those who did attend – yours is the first negative. To be honest, we would suggest avoiding future TORn panels as I think your expectations may be a bit too high for a fan run organization. We have done panels for many years, and can only report what is available to report. If anything, this year’s presentation did reveal quite a few details that were not readily available online concerning The Hobbit films, and we managed to secure a special guest in Michael Pellerin who gave us quite a few new anecdotes about the LOTR production that we had never heard before.

    Thanks for your feedback.
