As we mentioned a while back, we have a new player in the Middle-earth Collectibles game. Iron Studios is going to be producing collectibles based on the best trilogy of all-time: “The Lord of the Rings,” of course! These pieces will be produced in 1:10 scale, which is smaller than other collectibles based on the trilogy. Despite being smaller from what we can see in the production photos the to be very well made. I have had the chance to see their Marvel pieces up close, so I have very high hopes we’re in for a real treat! All four pieces Gandalf the Grey, Frodo Baggins, standing Ringwraith, and attacking Ringwraith can be pre-ordered right now. They range from $95 for Frodo to $115 for Gandalf the Grey. Collectors can expect all of these figures to start landing during quarter four of 2019.

Earlier today, Amazon Prime revealed yet another map of Middle-earth, along with text completing the Ring Verse, then the words: Welcome to the Second Age. True to those words, the new map reveals Numenor, which sunk beneath the ocean near the end of the Second Age. This confirms one thing at least, that Amazon’s film right extend beyond what’s between the covers of ‘The Lord of the Rings,’ as the only map of Numenor in Tolkien’s works appears in ‘Unfinished Tales.’ Other than that, the possibilities for the direction(s) the story will take us are almost endless both with respect to Numenor, and what was happening in Middle-earth at the time. Iron Studios, who make some really neat collectibles, dropped a bombshell on folks the other day when they announced that they’ll be making items from The Lord of the Rings. The announcement states the line will be in 1:10 scale, which based on their other items in this scale should be pretty darn cool. If you check out their Facebook page you can watch their announcement video, and if you follow them on Instagram you can get some great previews. As we get more information we promise to share.

Our friends at Weta Workshop have once again delivered a character that fans have been putting on lists of missed characters for years now. This particular character, if you happened to order the recent Treebeard statue, will make for a great pairing. Who is this character? It’s none other than a very cool looking Orc Grishnakh.

Limited to only 500 pieces worldwide and a price of $399 this one most likely won’t be around long. Sculpted by Jamie Beswarick this statue looks amazing with every piece we saw on screen included in the sculpt. Fans can also use the payment plan system to help them get this and with a release date of April 2019 you’ll have time to pay it off.
