Back in 2017 I shared my collection with all of you fellow Ringers. Over the course of the last three years I have had many of you asking, “how’s my collection?” or “will you show an update of how things are looking?” So I decided that I would start this summer off with a video that shows how my collection is going. I hope you all enjoy a look at where my collection is right now, and I appreciate the time you take to watch it.Posted in Collectibles, Fans, TheOneRing.net Community

Week Three of our friends at Weta Workshop’s No. 1 auctions has started. This week fans can add the number one piece in the edition of the following statues: The Mouth of Sauron, Black Arrow prop replica, Thranduil on Elk, Prancing Pony (This is actually No 2 in the series as none were actually in the No 1 box) , and Galadriel. As we stated last week, the funds raised from the number one statues auctions will go to the Neonatal Trust. This week’s statue will be the Galadriel. If you need the full auction list you can check out the No. 1 Auction List Page and if you want to make sure you have all the information in regards to bidding you can check out the Auction FAQ page.Posted in Collectibles, Collectibles, Shop, Weta Collectibles
Whether you have run the previous two races or not, you can still participate in this one, so limber up and join your fellow ringers and take on the 5 Meters Through Moria Challenge. This course will follow the fellowship of the ring’s dark and dangerous journey through the mines of Khazad-dûm. Once prosperous and echoing with song and the ringing of pick-axe, these dark caverns are now inhabited by orcs and cave trolls and something much, much worse. So be on your guard as you make your way to the final bridge and cross once more into daylight.
This Virtual 5k Race (3.1 miles) can be run or walked at any location you choose (please follow your town’s current rules). You can run, jog, walk in your neighborhood or your backyard, use a treadmill, climb the stairs in your home, or use an elliptical – whatever is most convenient and safe for you. 30 minutes of exercise can also count as 1 mile. Run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself – our 5k’s are on the honor system.
Before you start each race, download a RACE BIB here or from TheOneRing.net’s “The World and Works of J.R.R. Tolkien” Facebook page. Write your name or nickname and/or race time in the white box, then you can stop by our Facebook page and post a photo wearing your bib, or post in the comments below.
Once you have completed each race, let us know! Download your Finisher Certificate here and share another photo.
Also, check back next Friday for the fourth and final race. If you complete all four races, an additional special certificate can be yours! If you’re so inclined, reading the section in “The Fellowship of the Ring” that corresponds to this race might add a bit of color to your journey. Above all else, have fun. On your mark, get set, go!
If you weren’t able to join the first two races, don’t despair! Click on these links to earn your Shire Sprint and Racing to Rivendell bib and certificate. Complete all four races by May 29 and earn an extra crowning certificate.

If you like cool Middle-earth items and you are also into Tiki Mugs then these items are for you. Fans of the greatest trilogy of all time can get Gandalf the Grey, Frodo, and Gollum all done as Tiki Mugs. You can get all three of these very cool looking mugs, which can help give you an island vibe as we sit in quarantine, for $75 for the set. If you decide to get them individually they’re running at $26 a piece, so there is a saving if you get all three as a set. They’re also doing muglets of Frodo and Gollum as a set, which will cost $14. They will also be offering customers a free gift (LOTR Geeki Tiki Mini Muglet Set) if they spend $100 or more on ANY product at Toynk.com. Offer will end 5/18/2020 at 11:59PM CST. You can now buy a board game version of this sequence in the film. The purpose of this game is to be the first person to complete all 15 lines of the song before Thorin arrives. As we previously teased about here on the front page, as well as on our various social media footprints, the Gandalf the Grey Mini Epic art print was set to be coming soon from our friend, Jerry Vanderstelt. Yesterday this went live, and is now available to all collectors. Fans can get this in paper giclee (18×24) all the way to canvas giclee (24×32). Depending on the size you go with, the cost will be $80 for the 18×24 paper giclee, $165 for the 24×34 giclee, and if you go for the canvas, a price of $435. No matter what you choose you’re getting some of the absolute best art out there.

One of my favorite Orc designs from any of the Middle-earth films got the Weta Workshop statue treatment late last year. We originally knew him as Azog, then Bolg, and eventually he became The Torturer of Dol Guldur, beating Gandalf the Grey up during The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies Extended Edition. This guy is just brutal to look at, with metal on his face, armor made of bones, a massive mace, and blood all over. It’s an absolutely savagely superb piece! Sculptor Sam Gao, who we’ve come to know as someone who can brilliantly sculpt monsters, did it again. I hope you enjoy the review and I hope you get this piece, which is limited to an edition of only 500 worldwide.
This week our friends at Weta Workshop released a fantastic looking new statue from their awesome mini-statue line. This time fans can add Gandalf the Grey on Gwaihir as he escapes being trapped by former friend Saruman the White. This beautiful statue does a very good job of capturing the tiniest of details between Gandalf and Gwaihir. Fans can add this piece right now to their collection for only $125, and with it being in-stock there will be little to no wait time.Posted in Collectibles, Collectibles, Ian McKellen, Lord of the Rings, LotR Movies, Merchandise, Movie Fellowship of the Ring, Shop, Weta Collectibles, WETA Workshop
Khamûl The Easterling might have been the most unique looking Ringwraith we saw during the entire Dol Guldur sequence, and this highly detailed helm by our friends at Weta Workshop gives you the chance to have a closer look at some of that. Limited to only 750 pieces worldwide, I don’t expect this to last long, and then maybe that will lead to a full 1:6 statue of this awesome looking character.
You can pre-order yours now right here for delivery in early 2018.Posted in Collectibles, Collectibles, Hobbit Movie, Merchandise, Shop, The Hobbit, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Weta Collectibles, WETA Workshop
During Comic-Con 2017 our friends at Weta Workshop released what very well may turn out to be a statue of the year contender. The Mouth of Sauron on Steed impressed fans with just how detailed the paint, and pose were, during Comic-Con and now that the production piece has shipped we’re blown away again. Everything about the production piece is superb and equal to the Prototype. After 14 years of waiting for this character to get a full 1:6 statue the wait was without a doubt worth it. You’ll see in the review just how much I love this thing. Limited to just 750 pieces and with a payment plan this is going to be disappearing at retail quite soon.
This new statue comes from The Hobbit Trilogy and covers the really cool Dol Guldur sequence. Fans have a chance to add another one of those awesome Ringwraith designs we saw during The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
The Ringwraith getting the full 1:6th treatment is the Ringwraith of Forod, which fans had a chance to add via the 1:30 scale line for the Dol Guldur sequence. This piece is limited to only 500 pieces worldwide and comes with a price tag of $499.
Fans can use the new payment plan system to make it easier so you don’t miss this limited edition collectible.Posted in Collectibles, Collectibles, Hobbit Movie, Merchandise, Shop, The Hobbit, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Weta Collectibles, WETA Workshop
My favorite piece from Comic-Con 2016 has arrived and I’m super excited to finally get a chance to review it. The Lady Galadriel by our friends at Weta Workshop and sculpted by the phenomenally talented Lindsey Crummett is without a doubt the best Galadriel that’s ever been done. It just blew me away back during Comic-Con and the production version does as well. As you will see in the video, this piece has some really awesome detail, from the face to that intricate outfit. These are just some of the reasons why this piece sold out during pre-order and with an edition size of 750 pieces will be difficult to tack down.
