ADC’s statement suggests that the publication has been cancelled as a result of the Tolkien Estate’s threats to take court action preventing the release of the book.
As this statement is highly misleading, the Tolkien Estate considers it important that the true facts be clarified for those concerned. Continue reading “Tolkien Estate Comments on Book Cancellation”

We get a lot of mail regarding Hobbit-like structures or businesses or cakes or bakery items or matchsticks or almost anything you can imagine. But nobody on staff could remember seeing anything about the Hobbit House in Manila, Philippines. It claims to have “the smallest waiters in the world,” and boasts over 100 kinds of beer from 28 nations. A look at the website shows a lot of music scheduled and a photo gallery. Lonely Planet featured it first on its Top 10 weird bars and restaurants. If any spies are living in or traveling through Manila or Boracay (a new expansion location) tell them TheOneRing.net sent you and send us a report.
