Sideshow Collectibles announced their latest addition to the Legendary Scale Bust line-up: A Ringwraith. This new bust becomes the sixth in the Legendary Scale Bust line-up and the third featuring one of the Ringwraiths. While the item is only being ‘teased’ this week, we expect it to begin pre-ordering next Thursday. Sideshow has also posted a QTVR (Interactive 360° view) of the ‘Treachery of Saruman’ Diorama. Sideshow Collectibles is getting into the spirit of Tolkien’s birthday! First off, they are offering $10 OFF their entire LOTR instock inventory – that includes items like Galadriel, King of the Dead and more. Then, post your ‘Toast to the Professor’ for a chance to win the 12-inch Faramir Exclusive figure. And last, but not least, we get a peek at the upcoming ‘Gwaihir vs Nazgul’ polystone diorama. The talented Colleen Doran wrote to let us know that she posted to her blog about her newest sketch cards. In this series, Colleen did sketches of Sandro Kopp, Sean Bean, Karl Urban, and Elijah Wood. And I must say, I am a bit jealous of Sandro.
We mentioned last week that Sideshow Collectibles had previewed their latest Lord of the Rings Premium Format Figure – Aragorn. Well, as expected, this week they have started taking pre-orders for the exclusive edition of this figure. The exclusive, only available online via the SideshowCollectibles.com website, features an alternate interchangeable left hand clutching Aragorn’s hunting knife. We don’t expect the exclusive to last long, so if you are interested, jump on over to Sideshow’s website and place your pre-order. (Just a tip from us collectors – you don’t actually pay for the piece until it ships!) [Aragorn Premium Format Figure]
More than any other collectible company, Sideshow Collectibles seems to really want their collectors to know everything about the pieces they release. To that end, Sideshow Collectibles has posted a ‘Backstage Pass’ video highlighting the recently revealed ‘Gandalf vs Saruman: The Treachery of Saruman‘ polystone diorama. Besides showing some more detail shots of the piece, we also learn that this particular diorama is the largest diorama Sideshow has produced. Check out the video yourself at SideshowCollectibles.com.
