Close on the heels of the April 8 release of the theatrical edition of The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug on DVD and Bluray, TORn begins convention season at Wondercon with previews of what is coming next. The first convention on the TORn tour is Wondercon in Anaheim over the Easter weekend. We will begin to unravel what to expect from The Hobbit: There and Back Again. You can find information about Wondercon right here. We have a prime panel slot slated for Saturday at 5:30pm, don’t be late, we always fill the room.
Staffers from TheOneRing.net, experts in Tolkien and fandom for almost 15 years, gather clues, speculation, and inside information about what the final cinematic experience in Middle-earth will be like. They will answer questions and engage fellow fans about anything under the Tolkien sun and, maybe, some special guests.

The latest newsletter from our friends at Weta Workshop has been released, included in it is their first environment piece from The Hobbit Trilogy. This amazing piece is one I have been looking forward to arriving, it captures the stunning detail of the Front Gate of Erebor. This fantastic piece has all the little details that we saw in the front gate with those two awesome Dwarven statues.
