Asylum stars Natasha Richardson in an unsettling psychological thriller about the repressed, 1950s wife of a psychiatrist and her affair with a convicted killer (Marton Csokas). Stella, Max, and their son Charlie move to a high-security psychiatric hospital, where the priggish Max joins the staff and hopes to ascend, in time, to the top spot, replacing the soon-to-retire hospital director. Standing in Max’s way is another doctor, Cleave (Ian McKellen), who takes a quiet yet somehow sinister interest in unhappy Stella’s apparent attraction to Edgar (Csokas). [More]

Seems one of the horses that played Shadowfax is for sale, anyone interested? From the website: This horse is Blanco – the genuine Shadowfax double in the movie Lord of the Rings. He is a Liberty trained trick horse trained by world renowned horse trainer Don Reynolds. He has been used in Hercules TV series filmed in NZ 2004. Credited trainer Wayne McCormack worked on these two films with Blanco. Blanco also worked on commercials and has done live shows. Due to overseas work commitments….a regretful sale of this great horse. [More]

They’ve watched and rewatched the fourth-season DVD collection. They’ve planned “24” parties for Sunday night. And they’ve studied every reported fifth-season development with dutiful and slavish attention. [More]
