This high resolution image is rich with characters and scenes from the upcoming movie; we see Gandalf in Dol Guldur; Tauriel, Legolas and Thranduil in the woodland realm; our ‘hot dwarves’ Kili, Thorin and Fili, with Mirkwood behind them; the ‘barrels out of bond’ scene, and what looks like Lake-town in the distance (even though the barrels are going away from it); and Bard drawing his bow.

As we mentioned yesterday the rumors were true and today we got official confirmation of The Bridge Direct’s Wave 2 of figures for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Wave 2 brings us three brand new 6″ figures with Radagast, Azog, and Legolas Greenleaf while the 3.75″ line gets a very cool Mirkwood pack with Legolas, Tauriel, Thranduil, Fili, and Kili. Via the Desolation of Smaug 2014 Calendar and the Annual, check out these interesting new images of Bard and his daughters. A little bird tells us that the world premiere of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will be in Los Angeles on Monday 2nd December. We’d like to invite YOU to join TheOneRing.net to celebrate this event, with a party the night before. Mark your calendars – details will follow, but for now, plan on partying with fellow fans in LA on Sunday 1st December; and then get ready to line the red carpet the next day!
This event won’t be as big as our Oscar parties, but it will be a wonderful time to celebrate the second movie, hang out with friends, and maybe even meet some special guests… Watch this space for more information, and a definite confirmation of date and venue.
