There are a number of wild rumours that have begun swirling about the Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
These all seem to emanate from an anonymous poster on the internet messageboard 4Chan who claims to have seen an almost final cut of the film. Considering that around 150 folks saw a rough cut with Peter Jackson in New Zealand just a week and a bit ago, some have assumed that it must be a fan contest winner. This is pretty cool. Have a look at this speculative re-arrangement from Sammpo Alternative Channel of all the trailer and teaser and TV spots footage for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies rearranged into what might — or might not — be chronological viewing order.

Our friends at El Anillo Unico have posted up a new still from The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies. The image shows Bain, son of Bard, pensively walking the shore of the Long Lake in the aftermath of Smaug’s attack on Lake-town as the refugees attempt to recover.

Tickets for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies went on sale Friday, and it came with a bit of confusion. There are multiple screenings in multiple theaters with all sorts of strange terms attached to them: HFR, Atmos, IMAX, etc. to name a few – to say nothing of whether or not it’s in 3D.
With ticket prices the way they are, you may be a little hesitant to push the “purchase” button on your ticket order in case you mistakenly selected a show in a format you don’t want to see.
Or you may have not even gotten that far, and simply gone cross-eyed at all of the acronyms and strange terms on Fandango, MovieTickets, or whichever portal you prefer, silently crying, “WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?!” Your local theaters may not have all of these flavors, and thus your choice is much easier.
