We’ve been getting lots of mail alerting us to events all over the world meant to celebrate World Hobbit Day (September 22 -also Bilbo and Frodo’s birthday) and cap off a fabulous Hobbit week that included the debut of a new Hobbit Trailer. As a service to our readers, we’ve gathered information about all of the events we know about into one place so you can plan your weekends accordingly. Starting with world-wide second breakfasts tomorrow, and moving on to online events and local celebrations, the weekend promises food, friends and fun for all: what Hobbit wouldn’t love that? On September 19th (or the 20th, depending on your timezone!) Warner Brothers finally released the second official trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. What followed was a world of fans exploding in joy. We here at TheOneRing.net were equally giddy and now, after some time digesting, we offer our first frame-by-frame look at the trailer’s content. Expect more in-depth trailer reviews and analysis here at TORn over the coming days.

The trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has just debuted on MSN. We think it looks pretty sweet.

Gentle Giant has released the next bust up for pre-order in their “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” mini-bust line: none other than Gollum himself. Gollum will be priced at $65 regular price and $58.50 for collectors who are members of Gentle Giant’s PGM program. No edition size has been set yet for Gollum but one should be set before the projected ship-date of the first quarter of 2013.
