Keith sends along word that the trailer for Andy Serkis’ new movie SEX & DRUGS & ROCK & ROLL is now online. Also announced the news that Andy has been nominated for London Film Critics Award for his work in SEX & DRUGS & ROCK & ROLL.
Andy portrays Ian Dury in the biopic. Dury was an English rock and roll singer, lyricist, bandleader and actor who initially rose to fame during the late 1970s, during the punk and New Wave era of rock music. He is best known as founder, frontman, and lead singer of the British band Ian Dury and the Blockheads, who were amongst the most important groups of the New Wave era in the UK.
The film also stars Olivia Williams, Naomie Harris, Ray Winstone, Luke Evans, Mackenzie Crook and Noel Clarke. The movie is getting extraordinary reviews, particularly for Andy’s performance. It opens in UK on January 8 2010 and will be in US hopefully later in the year.
Cate Blanchett is slated to be a guest on The Late Show with David Letterman tomorrow (December 18th) on CBS. Watch this spot for the video and check CBS at 11:35PM for the clip!
