Turbine, Inc., the folks behind Lord of the Rings Online, Asheron’s Call and Dungeons and Dragons, has announced the appointment of Ken Surdan as Turbine’s new Vice President of Operations. Unlike Roheryn, our public preview server, Bullroarer is a public test server. Bullroarer will be opened periodically to test new content, still in development, before it is completed and approved for the live servers. The folks at Turbine write: Turbine has just released the first batch of screenshots for the upcoming Volume II: Book 7: Leaves of Lürien, the first free content update for The Lord of the Rings Online since the award-winning game expansion, Mines of Moria, was released last fall.

A non-profit group dedicated to the advancement of audio in games has nominated LOTRO: Mines of Moria for a couple of music awards including game Music Of The Year.
