Wondering where TORn’s IRC has got to? Well, a hard drive failure on the hosting server has left TheOnering.net’s IRC network temporarily out of commission. No service till Monday US time at least (Tue in the much more awesome lands of the future). Speculation and anticipation are mounting among Lord of the Rings fans as news about the Hobbit continues to dribble out. With scripts for the two films drafted, but the project still awaiting the studio greenlight, TORn’s Hall of Fire returns to host a discussion asking “what next?” Come along, and bring your own rumours for discussion! The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Movie Marathon is taking place right now in TORn’s IRC chatroom. We’re currently watching The Two Towers. Return of the King will start at approximately 7 p.m. EDT. (New York)
Join us as we cheer, jeer and tear over our favorite films. Over the course of 12 hours we will watch all three movies, taking periodic breaks for food, drink and frivolity. Anyone is welcome! You can come and go any time you like, as often as you like.
