The Sun is reporting that actor James Nesbitt, Bofur in The Hobbit films, may be suffering from DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis). As we learned from PJ’s second production video, Nesbitt informed us during The Hobbit hiatus he will be golfing in the US at Pebble Beach and then returning to Ireland to enjoy his family and hang out with some mates. It is suggested his long travels from NZ may be the result of the DVT. Here’s an excerpt from the article:

According to the message boards, Derren Brown and Marc Hagan-Guirey (both UK personalities) had tweeted the text below in the last few days. We reported on Derren Brown’s tweet, but not Marc’s. Furthermore, both their tweets have now been deleted… which may be an indication that there was some truth to them.

As if being a wizard wasn’t already cool enough, Gandalf is actually two wizards in one. At the start of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings novels — and the Peter Jackson movie trilogy they inspired — he’s the wise but aging Gandalf the Grey, a mentor to hobbits. But after battling a Balrog (yeah, look it up), he is transformed into the way more powerful, take-no-prisoners, all-around badass Gandalf the White. Bonus points: he’s played by Sir Ian McKellen in the movie.
