New Production Video up on PJ’s Facebook Page

July 8, 2011 at 8:38 pm by Altaira  -

The wait is over! A second production video was just posted on Peter Jackson’s Facebook page. This one provides lots of goodies including Andy Serkis in his mo-cap suit as Gollum as well as glimpses of Bilbo, Elrond, some mysterious indoor sets and more of the gorgeous New Zealand countryside. Can you guess where the various shots and locations will show up in the movies? Let us know in your comments below, in Barliman’s chat or on our message boards.  To view the video, go here.

What an awesome video. Thank you to Peter for sharing the updates on everything from cast and crew to having having Andy Serkis sit in and offer his thoughts as well! To the shots of some fabulous locations.

What are the filming at the beginning of the video? At first I thought its some Goblin Town scenes. We can see some skeletons and pillars with iron spikes, very orkish/goblinish place. But then I noticed some climbing plant around the pillars, leafless but with spikes. Plants underground (Goblin Town is under the mountain)? Doubtfull. Then I stopped the video at 4 minutes 31-33 secundes. Left down corner of the screen: there is some maquette/minature, small, white. It looks like a hill, some ruins and some of the climbing plants, and there is some hooded guy at the top? A nazgul? Maybe The Necromancer? I bet this is Dol Gundur. We know we gonna see the attack of White Council on D. Gundur.
