Women are not the only ones that cry at movies.  Men have admitted they too can open up the waterworks if the movie moves them.  And what movies move men the most?

According to a Top 20 list compiled by the BBC News Magazine, Lord Of The Rings tops them all for men.  Especially Return Of The King.  No surprise for many of the TORN faithful on that selection.

Anne Kraley with the Grand Rapids Symphony in GR, Michigan writes: After the success of last years presentation of Fellowship of the Ring we will also be presenting The Two Towers with our orchestra October 15 and 16. I know last year you were awesome in posting about our midwest show and I am wondering if the same can be done this year. This is the same show as Radio City, just transplanted to our great mid-west city. More..

Justin writes: I’m a long time reader of theonering.net, and I’ve found something that will be of interest to the community. Recently, The Lord of the Rings’ very own Andy Serkis was cast in a radio drama presentation of C.S. Lewis’ “The Screwtape Letters,” a story that Lewis dedicated to none other than Tolkien himself. I bought the collection for my fiancée (also a self-professed Tolkien geek!). We listened to it in the car, and it was excellent. A lot of the dialogue is lifted directly from Lewis’ superb text, and brought to life by Serkis’ amazing performance as the title character. It includes a behind-the-scenes bonus DVD that also has a section talking about the Inklings. screwtape.com

This comes to us from Fragland.com via a Gamasutra job posting. Warner Brothers is hiring a director for future gaming development and they specific mention ‘Hobbit’ games. Here’s the posting from Gamasutra:

Position will be responsible for brand development and product marketing activities for the entire portfolio of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit games at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
