Organiser Paul Giles, 77 – a tramp at the head of a soup kitchen queue in King Kong – said the reunions had begun in 2002 with the help of his late wife, Marie. Thomas Shippey will give his talk, “Filming the Lord of the Rings: How Peter Jackson Coped with J.R.R. Tolkien,” at 7 p.m. in the Olin Arts Center on Russell Street. Well its been a few days with our new website, and some initial bugs are making themselves apparent. The most significant is how news is displayed for Ringers with Windows and IE 6 (Internet Explorer 6). We are working on that problem and hope to have a resolution soon. LOTRO Book 11: Defenders of Eriador Release Notes Now Available! Variety is reporting that Ryan Gosling has been replaced by Mark Wahlberg as one of the leads for Peter Jackson’s ‘The Lovely Bones’. The last minute swap culminated in a week long delay in principle photography (and may very well explain it). Gosling and Jackson reportedly parted ways due to ‘creative differences’. Filming commences today in Philadelphia, PA.
