Xoanon here, after finally being able to listen to the RealVideo files and cleaning up the drool on my floor (I ADORE JRD, his voice, his mannerisms, his laugh), I was amazed to hear that he talks about Gimli’s attempt to destroy the ring! So we now know a little more as to what we’ll see in Fellowship this winter!

Ralph Bakashi directed an animated version of JRR Tolkien’s books in 1978.

I was reading the biggest tabloid paper in norway this morning, and when I got to the cartoon pages I saw this:
A norwegian cartoon character called Nemi was sleeping outside the theatre in a sleeping bag when this guy from the ticket box shouted something like “hey! wake up, you can’t sleep here! I’ve told you a million times; The Lord Of The Rings doesn’t release until december!” [More]
