This amazing piece is one I have been looking forward to arriving, it captures the stunning detail of the Front Gate of Erebor. As you may recall, we teamed up with Gentle Giant to pick the next Dwarf who would get turned into a bust for their The Hobbit Trilogy line. The winner of the poll was one of the ‘Hot Dwarves’: Kili the Dwarf. Kili is the archer of the company, but this piece gives us him holding his Dwarven sword, which is a nice change for fans with more than one collectible of this character. Kili comes in with a price tag of $75 for non PGM members and only $67.50 for those of us who are PGM members. You can expect Kili to arrive into your collection around the fourth quarter of this year.

The Desolation of Smaug has won its first award, winning the VES Award for Outstanding Animated Character in a Live Action Feature Motion Picture for the most awesome of all dragons, Smaug! As previously noted, Smaug was the likely winner in this category for the Visual Effects Society’s 12th annual awards.

Tonight, via their Facebook page, Gentle Giant have released details of the next bust in their The Hobbit Trilogy bust line and the first one from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. The next character being created is none other than Legolas Greenleaf wearing his very cool Elven Armor. That’s not all, we get to see Legolas holding the severed Orc head from the interrogation scene after Thranduil separated the head from the Orc body. Legolas is up for Pre-Order right now for $75 with an estimated shipping date of the fourth quarter of this year.
