Enya was on ‘Larry King Live’ last night (Jan 24). Before she sang ‘May it be’ live on CNN she spoke to Larry King about loving LOTR, saying that it is her favorite book. She also mentioned that she was very excited to receive a call from PJ asking her to sing.

The article in The New American would have been here if they put it all on the web. [The New American]

Here is another article from The New American, you’ve got to love the guy pasting a LOTR poster over a Potter one…hahaha

Mrs. Legolas Greenleaf sends us this article on websites that teach Tolkien for newbies…and trust me…there are a TON of newbies as of late!

Scorpio writes: I recently ordered a Cave Troll ToyBiz toy from kbkids.com. The overall quality of the toy is amazing! Very good for a mere $20. He comes with two weapons…of course the two from the movie.

The “big ol’ mallet” and the “wild boar skewer.” It comes with two battle actions; “crushing mallet action” (attempted on Sam in the movie) and the “skewer a wild boar action” (attempted on Frodo).

When performing these attacks the troll opens his fierce mouth and lets out 1 of 3 troll sounds. The texture of the troll’s face and torso are very realistic (as realistic as you can get for a troll). This is a must-have for any toy collecting Tolkien fan! Bravo ToyBiz!

Ringer Spy Mrs. Legolas Greenleaf sends along these articles from ‘Entertainment Weekly’ Take a look. Note…they mention the Golden Globes…yet show a picture of Elijah Wood (Frodo) and Sean Astin (Sam) from the AFI Awards..and not the Golden Globes…hrmmm.

We had so many entries to our “Keep the FOTR on Top” contest that it took me 2 full days to look at all the ticket stubs! But I have finally done it, and voila, here are the winners:

First Place – Heather Schreyer from Oriskany, NY
Second Place – Joni Alm, from Santa Fe, NM
Third Place – Rick Mansfield, from Louisville KY

Please support our sponsors and visit Sideshow Toy (and Sideshow/Weta Collectibles). You can also purchase the first place prize at the Official Lord of the Rings Shop.

The winners will be contacted by email. Thanks to all the fans that tried to keep Fellowship of the Ring on top this last weekend. Unfortunately, Black Hawk Down and Snow Dogs gave us a good pounding, but not to worry, all is still well in the world. After all, Fellowship of the Ring has grossed over 500 million dollars internationally! With those kind of numbers, New Line can spend some money making the best DVDs the world has ever seen! Personally, i wouldn’t mind seeing them use some of that money to help organize fan events all over the world.
