Ringer Spy lilcritter writes: On VH1 they are doing “The 100 most Metal Moments.” Number 45 was about a band called Gorgoroth which, they said, “got their name from JRR Tolkien’s the Lord of the Rings.” The band got into trouble for having slaughtered sheep on stage, but I don’t know if they actually slaughtered them up there. I never knew Tolkien would reach into heavy metal mayhem.
